About the Event
What constitutes effective and ineffective advocacy in a commercial mediation? This comprehensive webinar presented by the NAWL Women in Litigation Practice Area Affinity Group will keep you on the right path by providing illumination into the nuances of effective mediation advocacy from multiple perspectives.

Panelists include litigators from the Plaintiff and Defense Bar, in-house counsel, and two veteran mediators. Topics to be discussed include: how to best prepare a case for mediation; the importance of the mediation brief; maximizing the joint session, including opening statements; effective negotiation within a mediation; using the mediator to your best advantage, and strategies for getting beyond impasse. The panel will also address, from the mediator and advocate perspective, the role gender can play during a complex mediation.

This program is applicable to both experienced attorneys and young attorneys seeking to understand the importance of effective mediation advocacy.
