JAMS is a proud sponsor of the first ever CIArb Americas Conference bringing together CIArb’s seven Americas Branches (Bahamas, Bermuda, Brazil, Canada, Caribbean, New York and North America) in Miami on October 7, 2022.

Leading arbitrators, institutions and corporate counsel will highlight the unique importance of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) within the Americas, the efficiency of which allows the world’s economy to remain operative and functional even during times of great economic uncertainty.

You will hear different perspectives on arbitration in the Americas from:
    • Practitioners – who will discuss cutting-edge issues and share their journeys to the field
    • ADR providers – offering insight on how they select their rosters
    • Judges – who will highlight the unique interplay between the courts and ADR, and
    • Users – sharing what they’re looking for in the selection of arbitrators.

JAMS Senior Global Practice Manager, Sherman Humphrey, will be a speaker on the following panel titled "ADR Providers’ Roundtable: An Opportunity to Broaden Your ADR Practice and Elevate Your Profile (The Providers)" at 3:45 – 5:00 pm ET. Join representatives from leading ADR providers from across the Americas in discussions focused on the benefits and opportunities available to arbitrators interested in joining arbitrator panels outside their home country. Following a brief presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in a small-group roundtable discussion with one or more of the representatives.
