Join JAMS, the CIArb NY Branch, and the Center for International Commercial & Investment Arbitration for an insightful panel discussion featuring prominent arbitration practitioners from diverse backgrounds and experiences. This event marks the first public presentation of ongoing empirical research on diversity in commercial arbitration, funded by the UK's Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) as part of a broader $1.3 million, seven-year project titled "The Social and Psychological Underpinnings of Commercial Arbitration in Europe." The panel will explore how various aspects of diversity, including gender, ethnicity, culture, socioeconomic background, disability, and gender and sexual diversity, impact commercial arbitration. They will discuss the unique considerations each form of diversity brings, as well as their overlaps and intersections. This event is designed to foster dialogue, with an emphasis on discussion rather than lecture. Audience participation is encouraged, offering a chance to engage with leading figures in the field and contribute to the conversation on enhancing diversity in commercial arbitration.

Thanks to R.E.A.L. - Racial Equality for Arbitration Lawyers and NYLON Arbitration for their participation as supporting organizations of this event.
