JAMS ADR Insights

JAMS in the Lone Star State

JAMS opened its newest Resolution Center in Houston in February 2021. The new space at 609 Main Street boasts over 10,000 square feet of conferencing space featuring sophisticated design and high tech, set against beautiful views of downtown Houston. We believe it is a best-in-class offering in the market for mediation and arbitration proceedings. The local panel of two retired federal judges and two retired state court judges complements a global panel of over 400 neutrals, resolving over 18,000 disputes worldwide each year.

Expanding our Texas practice to Houston was an easy “yes,” even during the COVID-19 pandemic. Texas attorneys and their clients have trusted JAMS and its neutrals with their most important disputes since 1991. Our Texas panel now includes 20 dispute resolution professionals in Dallas and Houston, including retired judges from the Northern and Southern District courts, 10 former state court judges, and former litigators and corporate counsel from a diverse set of practice areas.

JAMS’ Texas neutrals have deep experience in state business. They are leading members of the firm’s Energy & Utilities Group and understand the nuances and complexities of the oil and gas industry.

They are leaders in the construction field and have pioneered the use of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods for the multinational construction corporations that call Texas home.

JAMS’ Texas neutrals are adept at handling the kinds of disputes that are at the intersection of everyday life: business/commercial, employment, insurance and personal injury.

ADR offers a cost-effective, efficient and confidential route to preserving value and managing time, allowing parties and their counsel to remain in control of their dispute. Texas attorneys and their clients trust JAMS for neutral, cost-effective dispute resolution delivered by dedicated ADR professionals.

Thank you, Houston, for the warm welcome you gave us! It’s good to be here.

Please enjoy the event photos, and contact us if we can be of service.
