  Cyber risk has been with us for a long time, but only recently has it begun to dominate Board Room and C-Suite discussions. Understanding the sources of the risk, the different types of risk (hacking, malware, ransomware, etc.), the particular actors engaged in cyber breaches, and the range of risk-mitigation strategies and providers is essential to addressing these concerns. While malicious actors understand how corporate leaders think and operate, most corporate leaders have little insight concerning the origins of these activities or the specific nature of these threats.
