Hon. Faith Ireland (Ret.) Joins JAMS in Seattle

Former King County Superior Court judge joins JAMS as an arbitrator, mediator, special master/referee and neutral evaluator

New Panelist Announcement

Seattle – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to announce the addition of Hon. Faith Ireland (Ret.) to its panel. Justice Ireland brings over 20 years of judicial experience, including being a justice of Washington’s court of last resort for civil, criminal and constitutional matters. While serving as a King County Superior Court judge, she dealt with matters involving felonies, civil litigation, juvenile offenders, child welfare and mental illness.

Based in the Seattle Resolution Center, Justice Ireland will serve as an arbitrator, mediator, special master/referee and neutral evaluator, handling disputes in the areas of business/commercial, class action/mass torts, construction, employment, family law, health care, higher education and Title IX, personal injury/torts, professional liability and real estate.

Justice Ireland is known for her work ethic, her listening skills and her ability to relate to all parties in any dispute. I’m confident that she will make an exceptional addition to the JAMS panel in Seattle.

- Chris Poole, JAMS President and CEO

Prior to JAMS, Justice Ireland spent nearly 15 years as a neutral, offering services such as mediation, arbitration and appellate neutral analysis. While in private practice, she represented insurance carriers, individuals and corporations in tort litigation, business, tax, family law and real estate matters. She also received the Judicial Leadership Award from Access to Justice in 2005.

Through my experience, I’ve learned that the best way to get issues resolved is to fully understand where each party is coming from. I’ve had great success in being able to actively listen and connect with each party to find the best resolution. Becoming a panelist at JAMS is a natural fit for me, and I’m looking forward to helping parties resolve their disputes.

- Hon. Faith Ireland (Ret.), JAMS Neutral

Justice Ireland received her B.A. from the University of Washington; her M.S., with honors, from Golden Gate University; and her J.D. from Willamette University School of Law.
