Irvine, Calif. – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is opening the JAMS San Francisco and Chicago Resolution Centers as shelter-in-place orders are lifted.
Adding to the phased and gradual reopenings of JAMS Resolution Centers over the last two weeks, San Francisco and Chicago are now open and scheduling in-person hearings, bringing the total number of reopened offices to 14. JAMS is continuing to carefully follow local government regulations and guidance issued by the Centers for Disease Control to meet all necessary precautions and safety measures.
As we’ve carefully started to bring people back into our resolution centers for in-person matters, we are committed to providing a safe environment for our associates, neutrals and clients, which will always be our top priority. We appreciate the trust our clients have put in us to help resolve their cases, and we will continue to do everything we can to continue delivering the service and expertise that is expected from JAMS.
- Chris Poole, JAMS President and CEO
JAMS has implemented extensive safety measures to minimize the risk of exposure to the coronavirus, including the following:
- Following extensive cleaning and sanitizing protocols and procedures
- Providing personal protective equipment to all staff and neutrals (and providing masks for clients who may not have one)
- Adding plexiglass partitions to reception desks
- Ensuring hand sanitizer is readily available throughout each center
- Establishing interaction protocols, including directing foot traffic, setting meeting room capacities and limiting the number of clients in each center at a given time
JAMS is also continuing to offer clients the ability to conduct arbitrations and mediations virtually.
