Spaulding, Esq., have been honored with the 2024 Careers of Distinction Award by the Sonoma County Bar Association. An event to celebrate the two honorees was held on October 25 at the Flamingo Resort & Spa in Santa Rosa, California.
Award recipients are selected based on their exemplary legal practice; track record as distinguished jurists, litigators, and practitioners; and ability to apply due diligence in their practice day after day. Since the annual award’s inception in 1993, over 60 professionals have been recognized in the Sonoma County legal community.

Judge Nadler joined JAMS in 2023 after serving as a judge on the Sonoma County Superior Court for 20 years. During his time on the bench, he focused on resolving complex civil matters and case management before trial. Prior to his appointment to the bench, he spent 23 years as a trial lawyer, handling antitrust, personal injury, complex business litigation, construction defect litigation and employment matters. In his role at JAMS, Judge Nadler serves as an arbitrator, mediator, special master/discovery referee, and neutral evaluator, handling a wide range of cases across practice areas. As a neutral, he is known for his clear and focused understanding of the factual and legal issues, as well as the personal dynamics of the parties.
Mr. Spaulding joined JAMS in 2023 with over 40 years of experience as a distinguished trial lawyer. As the founder of an AV-rated law firm, he has handled and supervised thousands of cases in diverse practice areas, including employment matters, medical negligence claims, business disputes, and trust and estate litigation. In his role at JAMS, he serves as a mediator, arbitrator, special master/referee and neutral evaluator, handling a wide range of cases across practice areas. Mr. Spaulding is known for his interpersonal skills and the pride he takes in treating litigants and attorneys with dignity and respect, prioritizing active listening and empathy in each case that he handles.
