Hon. Nancy L. Allf (Ret.) Honored With Presidential Award by the State Bar of Nevada

Award honors a State Bar of Nevada member for their exemplary career and contributions to the state’s legal community

Las Vegas – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to announce that Hon. Nancy L. Allf (Ret.) has been honored with the Presidential Award by the State Bar of Nevada. This award was presented during the State Bar of Nevada’s Annual Bar Conference, held from June 27 through June 28 in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Given annually, the Presidential Award honors a State Bar of Nevada member who has practiced law for 20 years or more and whose conduct, honesty and integrity represent the highest standards of the legal profession. Recipients are those who inspire by example, advance the administration of justice and bring honor and integrity to the profession of law.

We congratulate Judge Allf on this recognition from the State Bar of Nevada. This honor is a testament to her decades of work supporting the Nevada legal community. Judge Allf’s commitment to justice, integrity and excellence reflects her values and approach as a legal professional and elevates the standards of the field.

Prior to joining JAMS earlier this year, Judge Allf served as a district court judge for the Nevada Eighth Judicial District Court for 13 years. She served as a Business Court judge for most of her time as a jurist, where she handled a wide range of cases. Additionally, as one of four judges on the Business Court for 10 years, she handled one-quarter of all Business Court cases in Clark County. She also served as the presiding judge of the Civil Division from 2021 to 2022. Earlier in her career, she was appointed by the Nevada Supreme Court as a settlement judge from 1998 to 2007.

Judge Allf is known for her intelligence, decisiveness and tireless effort when working with parties to reach resolution. In her role at JAMS, she serves as an arbitrator, mediator, special master/referee and neutral evaluator, handling business/commercial, personal injury/tort, construction, employment, probate and estate, professional and product liability, bankruptcy and cannabis cases.
