Houston – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to announce that Hon. Vanessa D. Gilmore (USDJ Ret.) was recognized as a finalist for the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Texas Minority Counsel Program (TMCP).
The TMCP honors attorneys annually who have made an impact on diversity in the legal profession through their practice. The awards series includes honoring rising stars, trailblazers, corporate counsel and lifetime achievement. Each year, the TMCP selects two finalists and one winner for their Lifetime Achievement Award. This award recognizes an attorney who has demonstrated extraordinary support and advocacy for the advancement of minorities, women and LGBTQ+ people in the legal profession over the course of their career.
The TMCP was created in 1993 by the State Bar of Texas with the mission of increasing opportunities for diverse attorneys who provide legal services to corporate and governmental clients and exposing organizations to the legal talent of diverse attorneys in Texas.
“Congratulations to Judge Gilmore for being named a finalist for the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Texas Minority Counsel Program. Judge Gilmore has led an incredible career both on the bench and in private practice and has remained a fierce advocate for justice and a trailblazer in the field of law. We are inspired by her work and honored to have her on our panel in Houston.”
