New York – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to announce that Rachel A. Gupta, Esq., has joined its panel. Ms. Gupta joins JAMS with over 20 years of experience working with clients in the financial services, investment management and insurance industries.
Ms. Gupta has nearly a decade of experience serving as in-house counsel. During this time, she handled multibillion-dollar “bet-the-company” and other high-profile litigation relating to the insurance of complex transactions, including residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS), student loan asset-backed securities, credit default swaps, military housing projects and public finance bonds. Her legal and business experience, combined with her strong interpersonal and communication skills, provides her with a fundamental understanding of the importance of what is at stake for parties—large and small, organizational and individual—on both sides of the negotiation table.
Based in the New York Resolution Center, Ms. Gupta will serve as an arbitrator and mediator, handling business and commercial, employment, financial markets, insurance, real estate and real property, smart contracts and blockchain matters. She is available to conduct sessions in person, as well as virtually, for clients across the country and internationally.
“Ms. Gupta has developed an outstanding reputation as a legal professional who can not only navigate complex, high-stakes cases for her clients, but do so with patience, creativity and persistence. Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to wear many hats, and we are so pleased that her next step will be joining JAMS as a panelist.”
Kimberly Taylor, JAMS CEO and president
Ms. Gupta has served as the principal of Gupta Dispute Resolutions since its formation in 2020. Her experience resolving complex business and commercial matters includes those involving alleged breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, negligence, unjust enrichment and other causes of action across industries. Additionally, she was part of the inaugural class of the JAMS Diversity Fellowship program in 2021.
“ADR offers the flexibility to structure a resolution process around the unique, individual needs of the case and the parties involved. This requires an understanding of the variables at play, including what influences companies and individuals in their decision-making process. Helping parties find opportunities for constructive dialogue and to develop practical solutions and processes to resolve their disputes is what drew me to the field, and I look forward to continuing my work as part of JAMS’ panel,” said Ms. Gupta.
Ms. Gupta earned her B.A., magna cum laude and with Special Honors, from The George Washington University and her J.D., cum laude, from Fordham University School of Law.
