Minneapolis – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to announce that Stephen P. Lucke, Esq., will be joining its panel. Mr. Lucke joins JAMS in Minneapolis after nearly 40 years as a business litigation associate and partner at Dorsey, where he developed a nationwide practice focused on ERISA retirement and health plan disputes.
Mr. Lucke is known for his complex litigation and class action practice. His work has included handling challenges to investments and fees in 401(k) and 403(b) plans, defined benefit plan management, employee stock ownership plans/company stock investments, benefit accruals in violation of age discrimination rules, transactions that violate prohibited transaction rules, and Department of Labor audits and health plan administration disputes.
Based in the Minneapolis Resolution Center, Mr. Lucke will serve as an arbitrator and mediator, handling business/commercial litigation, health care, class action/mass tort, employment, banking and finance, insurance and securities cases. He is available to conduct sessions in person, as well as virtually, for clients across the country.
Stephen Lucke has devoted his career to becoming one of the foremost leaders on ERISA litigation, as well as developing exceptional skill in handling other types of business litigation. His experience and insights will make him an excellent addition to our panel. Beyond his work, Mr. Lucke is an active and well-respected member of the Minnesota legal community.

During his time as a litigator, Mr. Lucke also served as lead counsel in business, insurance, intellectual property and employment disputes. Mr. Lucke is a nationally recognized leader in ERISA litigation and has received numerous awards. He is also a frequent author on matters relating to employee benefit disputes. Mr. Lucke is very engaged with his local community and serves as a volunteer attorney for the Children’s Law Center, among other involvement.
I look forward to embarking on this journey as a neutral and to leverage the skills I’ve developed over my many years of practice. My role at JAMS will offer an opportunity to expand my work in new ways and work collaboratively, thoughtfully and strategically with parties to reach effective resolutions.
