San Francisco – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to announce that Matthew Larrabee, Esq., has joined its panel. Mr. Larrabee joins JAMS with over 40 years of experience in trial and appellate practice.
Mr. Larrabee’s experience includes almost 30 years in private practice at Heller Ehrman, where he served as firm chair, and 15 years with Dechert, where he served as the global chair of litigation practice and deputy firmwide chair for strategic growth. He has served as lead trial counsel for market leaders in a range of industries, representing both defendants and plaintiffs in eight- and nine-figure disputes in financial services and asset management litigation, securities and corporate governance disputes, mergers and acquisitions disputes, and professional liability, antitrust and other complex commercial litigation.
Based in the San Francisco Resolution Center, Mr. Larrabee will serve as an arbitrator and mediator, handling business and commercial, antitrust, agribusiness and food law, and securities matters.
With over a decade of practice in New York City, and extensive experience in Delaware courts, where he handled corporate governance and investor disputes—including multiple Chancery Court trials and appellate arguments before the Delaware Supreme Court—he brings a broad perspective to dispute resolution. He is available to conduct sessions in person, as well as virtually, for clients across the country and internationally.
“Mr. Larrabee’s distinguished legal career is highlighted by the respect he has garnered across the profession, even from those who may be on the opposing side of a dispute. His calm demeanor allows him to work through complex problems and identify solutions that provide the most benefit to everyone. We look forward to seeing all that he accomplishes as a JAMS neutral.”
Kimberly Taylor, JAMS CEO and president
In addition to his active trial practice, Mr. Larrabee has served as lead counsel in dozens of mediations and arbitrations.
“After spending the last several decades as a litigator, I understand the many needs that must be considered during disputes and recognize the importance of getting to the heart of each matter to reach a lasting resolution. I am eager to apply my experiences in the courtroom to navigate complex disputes at JAMS, and I look forward to collaborating with my fellow panelists,” said Mr. Larrabee.
Mr. Larrabee earned his B.A., with honors, from the University of California, Davis and his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
