Chicago – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is proud to announce that Michael A. Zuckerman, Esq., has been appointed by the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts to the Electronic Public Access (EPA) Public User Group for a two-year term on the advisory panel.
The mission of the EPA Public User Group is to provide advice and feedback on the development, implementation and enhancement of electronic public services provided by the federal judiciary, including, but not limited to, PACER, the PACER Case Locator, the Multi-Court Voice Case Information System and the availability of electronic court records. Members of the EPA Public User Group represent a cross-section of PACER users and are named to the group by the director of the Administrative Office of the United States Courts. As a member of the advisory panel, Mr. Zuckerman will play a role in furthering the mission of the group by providing insights and recommending ideas from an ADR perspective to expand and improve EPA services.

Early in his career, Mr. Zuckerman served in private practice as a trial and appellate litigator at Jones Day. He represented clients in a variety of complex cases in federal and state courts. While in private practice, he became known for his skill in briefing complicated issues, developing legal strategy and negotiating settlements, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. He previously clerked for federal judges on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
In his role at JAMS, Mr. Zuckerman serves as an arbitrator, mediator and neutral evaluator, handling appellate, banking, business and commercial, civil rights, class action and mass tort, cybersecurity, employment, real estate and real property cases. A leader in the ADR community, he also teaches mediation and arbitration as an adjunct law professor at the Northern Illinois University College of Law.
