Chicago - JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to announce the addition of Hon. Sidney I. Schenkier (Ret.) to its panel. Judge Schenkier joins JAMS with more than 20 years of distinguished service as a United States magistrate judge for the Northern District of Illinois, including two terms as presiding magistrate judge.
Based in the Chicago Resolution Center, Judge Schenkier will serve as an arbitrator, mediator, and special master/referee, handling disputes in business and commercial, civil rights, class action and mass tort, employment, intellectual property, personal injury and torts, insurance, federal law, appellate, education/schools, and professional liability.
During his time on the bench, Judge Schenkier presided over approximately 40 jury trials, bench trials and preliminary injunction hearings, which included cases raising patent and trademark claims, employment law claims, constitutional claims, medical malpractice and other personal injury claims, trade secrets claims and other business disputes.
Judge Schenkier is known for his work ethic and commitment to the legal process. His experience in successfully resolving disputes and his understanding of the ADR process make him an excellent addition to our JAMS panel in Chicago.

In addition, Judge Schenkier has mediated more than 2,000 cases involving a broad array of federal and state law claims, including major class action and multidistrict litigation cases.
