Leader in international dispute resolution joins JAMS as mediator, arbitrator and neutral evaluator

New York – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to announce the addition of Giuseppe De Palo, Esq., to its panel. With over 30 years of experience, Mr. De Palo is a renowned international mediator who has mediated more than 2,500 domestic and cross-border disputes in over 60 countries, involving individuals from more than 90 nations.

Mr. De Palo’s experience spans various industries and subjects, and he has mediated cases deemed intractable, often working under challenging and dangerous circumstances. He is a coveted mediator for contentious, high-value cross-border commercial disputes. He has offered expert counsel to both national and supranational parliaments and has served as an advisor to ministers of justice and economics in various countries, contributing to the development of dispute resolution policies.

Based in the New York Resolution Center, Mr. De Palo will serve as a mediator, arbitrator and neutral evaluator, handling bankruptcy, business/commercial, employment, financial markets, intellectual property, international and cross-border, personal injury/torts, professional liability and telecommunications cases. He is available to conduct sessions in person, as well as virtually, for clients around the world.

Mr. De Palo is a recognized leader in the field of international alternative dispute resolution and has tremendous skill in navigating cross-border conflicts that include parties from multiple jurisdictions. His level of insight and ability to tackle the thorniest of cases has made him a trusted resource for clients across industries for decades.

Mr. De Palo has held key positions in leading international organizations, serving as the former ombudsman for United Nations Funds and Programmes; the co-founder and chair of the board of directors at ADR Center (Italy), one of the largest providers of conflict management and resolution services in Europe; and a director of JAMS International. He has led projects in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, including in active conflict zones, with a focus on establishing dispute resolution centers, enhancing online ADR resources and training, and expanding ADR mechanisms. He is also internationally recognized for his writings on mediation and overall contributions to the field.

Mr. De Palo earned his J.D., maxima cum laude, from the University of Bologna in Bologna, Italy, and his master’s degree, maxima cum laude, from the University of Urbino in Urbino, Italy. He also holds an LL.M. in international dispute resolution from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law.
