Irvine, Calif. – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to announce that Hon. Gail A. Andler (Ret.) received the Franklin G. West Award at the Orange County Bar Association’s (OCBA) 2025 Judges’ Night & Annual Meeting on January 16.
Presented annually, the Franklin G. West Award is the OCBA’s highest honor, given to outstanding attorneys and judges whose lifetime achievements have advanced justice and the law. The award was established in memory of Judge Franklin G. West, who epitomized the best of the legal profession as both an attorney and a judge.
“Judge Andler has been a valued member of the Orange County legal community for decades and is well versed in many facets of the law. Her work is distinguished by the creativity, patience and persistence that she employs in each case that she handles. She has dedicated her career to advancing justice, and we congratulate her on this recognition from the Orange County Bar Association.”
Kimberly Taylor, JAMS CEO and president
Judge Andler joined JAMS in 2017 after serving more than a decade on the Complex Civil Litigation Panel during her 22-year tenure on the Orange County Superior Court. Her time with the court also included two terms as presiding judge of the Appellate Division. She is also a past president of the American College of Business Court Judges, which provided invaluable perspective that she has been able to leverage when arbitrating complex matters as a single arbitrator or as part of a panel.
In her role at JAMS, Judge Andler is frequently selected by counsel and appointed by state and federal courts as a special master or court appointed neutral. Judge Andler is sought after for her experience in allocating settlement funds in complex and highly sensitive matters. Serving also as a mediator and arbitrator, Judge Andler has proficiency across the legal spectrum in mass, class, and single event matters, including complex business, trade secret, data breach, privacy, product liability, pharmaceutical, entertainment, sports, employment, catastrophic personal injury, and health care disputes.
